Basic identity documents

Your ID card, family card, birth certificate, and diploma are the foundation of all processing. Make sure names and birth dates match across documents — a one-letter difference can delay the process by weeks.

Passports are issued at the immigration office with a recommendation from the manpower office for migrant workers. Your placement agency guides this stage.

Medical and competency

Medical checks happen at designated facilities. Results have a limited validity window, so they are scheduled close to visa processing.

Some destinations require language or competency certificates (e.g. Korean for the G to G scheme). Check the destination page requirements before enrolling in training.

Contract and visa

Read the employment contract before signing and keep a copy. It covers salary, deductions, working hours, and leave — never depart without understanding it.

The work visa is processed by the destination country's mission once the contract and documents are complete. Your agency tracks this stage; the status is also visible on your dashboard.
