How to compare destination countries before applying

HiringMaps team · 6 min read

Four numbers to compare

First, salary in Rupiah — country pages on this platform show ranges from active listings. Second, estimated living costs in the working city. Third, processing time from application to departure. Fourth, contract length and renewal prospects.

A high salary with high living costs can mean the same savings as a mid salary in a low-cost country. Compare the difference, not just the figure.

Language and requirements

Some corridors require a language certificate before placement; others accept basic English. Language requirements affect your total preparation time — include training time in the comparison.

Also check which sectors are actually hiring in each country. A popular destination may not be opening roles that match your skills.
